Mahogany Bell, LCSW

Born and raised in Tupelo, Mahogany is a family-oriented Christian counselor. Mahogany has two children. Mahogany discovered early in high school she wanted to be a Social Worker Her goal as a social worker was to assist the vulnerable population while meeting their basic needs and ultimately enhancing their quality of life. Mahogany graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2008 from the University of Southern MS (Hattiesburg, MS). With the support of their family, she completed the advanced standing masters degree program in Social Work at the University of AL (Tuscaloosa, AL) in 2010. Mahogany has spent the majority of her career providing counseling to terminally ill patients and their families in hospice care. In 2015, she was named the Regional Social Worker of the Year for Curo Health Services. Mahogany is a part-time Perinatal Social Worker at the North MS Medical Center Womens Hospital. She offers compassionate, non-judgmental services to patients and families on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as well as those in the ER, Labor and Delivery, and Postpartum unit. Mahogany completed two years of supervision and was approved as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in October of 2020. She advocates for the rights of others and supports self-determination. Mahogany meets people where they are, believes that relationships are a vehicle for change, and utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy to assist clients with their goals. Mahogany believes that if we transform our minds, we can change our lives. She treats all individuals with dignity and respect as she believes everyone is uniquely made in the image of God.
